If I do get either one does anyone recommend that I also install the shifter along with the Perrin brass bushing, shifter stop and shifter adapter? These are easy enough for me to install and remove so it wouldn’t be a hassle overall. There is a Short throw shifter (WRX) and short throw shifter (STI) and they both look significantly different but in the compatibility list it shows that both work on the Base model WRX as you can see in the compatibility list.ĭoes anyone know the difference between the two or if there is any difference at all? Is the distance shorter on one rather than the other? Is one easier to install (one looks like a box, the other actually has the rear and front bushing rods showing)? They are both priced differently so I’m not sure if they're the same thing or if the STI one is better in some way.
